Right now Wow Classic has been out for over a month, and at this point everyone is either grinding or still deciding whether to jump in on the action. There is a large rang of people that are max level and already running 40 man raids and people that are loving the leveling process and taking their time. I have been playing since the games release in late August and am currently a level 55 dwarf hunter. I have for sure been grinding pretty hard and haven’t had much of a life for the past 5 weeks, and I have about 9 days’ worth of game play, which is kind of rookie numbers. I played World of Warcraft when it launched in 2004, I was only 6 years old so I wasn’t 100% sure what I was doing, but all I can remember is loving it. Over the past few years there has been a large community of people who have hated the way World of Warcraft retail was headed and wanted the simplicity and difficult nature of WoW when it first came out in 2004. There had been a few private servers where some Wow Classic patrons decided to bring the game to its glory days. It filled the void, but it wasn’t exactly how it was back in the day. From my personal opinion I think Wow Classic is the best thing that has happened to PC gaming in the past 3-5 years. I felt a childhood joy of when I first logged on, and I still feel it 50 levels later. The challenge of leveling, running dungeons with random people, constantly dying from horde. For the people who haven’t started playing I would 100% recommend giving it a try. Even if you have never played WoW, try one month of it and see what you think, my guess is once you hit 10 you won’t be able to stop. The good part about World of Warcraft is there is no regular pace you need to follow. You log on and you do what you can and you play how much you want. For people who are intimidated by playing the game, because they think it’s too complicated or too much that is only a common misconception. When it comes to playing PVE (player vs environment) which is basically doing quests and running dungeons the game Is pretty simple. The game teaches you how to play from level 1-60 and the community is helpful with some toxicity sprinkled in. Don’t get me wrong the game is hard, and you will die, a lot. But I can almost guarantee you will fall in love with it, all you have to do Is give it a chance. For people who have played WoW and are reluctant to get back into it, I understand being cautious because it can take up a lot of time, but for nostalgia purposes it doesn’t get any better. The game feels identical and the implementation of the layer system is different to get used to but has a lot of benefits. Everything aside I think WoW Classic has had a great start, a few bumps in the road with Ddoss attacks and full servers but Blizzard has bounced back. Trust me the game is only going to get better as the months go by. With phase 2 hopefully coming soon, it will implement PVP which will make the game 10 times more enjoyable with the satisfaction of killing horde. All I can say is try a month if you haven’t yet, and let me know If you think it’s worth it.
