How Your Rank Stacks Up Against Everyone Else
Rocket League
When it comes to a game like Rocket League, at least in my perspective the skill gap are ridiculous. Of course in any game your Bronze’s and Silvers are basically bots in the game or they are just starting out. Then when you reach gold you start to get some sort of understanding of the game and mechanics are starting to settle in. Platinum you actually start to see people going up in the air for aerials and maybe having some contact with the ball. Then when Diamond, Champion, and Grand Champion hit, it becomes the technique and the mastering of these mechanics to really differentiate between these two ranks. I don’t know about you, but when I play a competitive match and I lose sometimes I get down on myself and say I’m trash or my teammate is trash. I always knew I wasn’t bad at the game I’m just playing bad, or the people I played are way better. But when it comes to Ranks I’m pretty far above the rest. In Rocket League Competitive Ranking Standings, the majority of players are ranked between Silver 1 and Gold 3. I looked over the date for Season 10 as well and it was still consistent with this data. For example if you are Platinum 1, you are in the top 22% of players. If you’re Diamond 1, you are the top 7% of players. Top 7% is pretty f*#%ing good if you really think about all the people that play Rocket League. I am starting to get back into competitive and, currently I am Diamond 2 in Standard and Doubles. Hoping to grind up to Champion before the season ends.
League of Legends
In my opinion, league of legends has to be the most aggravating but also most entertaining and addictive games I’ve ever played. There is no better feeling then just crushing it in a league game, but there is nothing that makes me want to punch my monitor more than losing lane or getting constantly ganked or no ganks. Just so I can get this out there, I have played a lot of different online video games, and I would say I know what toxicity looks like and sounds like. I was playing Modern Warfare 2, and hearing everything said in those lobbies. Counter Strike- Global Offensive might be more toxic just because you essentially have no filter and can say ANYTHING you want without getting banned. Besides the point playing ranked in League is tough and let’s see where you stack up against the rest. According to the rank distribution the majority of players fall into Gold IV. There are a good amount of people stuck in Siler 4 and surprisingly Platinum 4. I am still apparently terrible at the game and am only Bronze 1, but me being overly cocky I think I’m at least a gold elo player. Very ironic, I currently have my main account banned for toxicity because I somewhat lost my cool. Hopefully I can get my grind up and get to a more respectable rank.
Apex Legends
Finally the game that I have not started playing ranked yet. Apex Legends just dropped into season three, so the rank distribution is not yet established. According to Season Two, which I think is actually really surprising the majority of people are in Silver and then Gold. This is kind of good news because if you’re low on the ranking system you’re not too far off from the majority, and it shouldn’t be too hard to move up in those ranking systems. Gaining rank in apex Is kind of interesting. I mean of course working on your aim and hitting your shots is going to help you get into a higher rank. A game like Apex its is important to have good teammates, and sometimes you get real lucky with solo, and other times you get bots a teammates. With the new map it should be easy to grind up in the ranks as everyone is still getting used to the new map.
