Welcome Everyone to the Lowkey Gamer. This is a place for all the people who love video games can get insight, reviews, and recommendations about all things gaming from a fellow gamer. I have grown up playing video games my entire life and they have had such an impact on who I am today. Some of my earliest memories are my dad waking me and my brothers up at night to play super smash brothers on the Nintendo 64. Video games has brought me so much joy over the years it is still something I do regularly in my 20’s. Of course the main question here is what exactly is a “Lowkey Gamer”? The term lowkey gamer comes from my personal experience of having to deal with people when they see a full gaming setup. It comes an awkward moment when you’re not sure how someone is going to  react when you tell them you game daily on a full PC setup. Having an Alienware laptop freshman year of college, and every time I go out in public I get the same question “what kind of laptop is that”. I had to come up with different line to make myself sound not like a complete nerd in front of people so I came up with the line “I’m kind of a lowkey gamer”. It came as a way that I could tell people who I am and not feel embarrassed that I like to game in my free time. I live in a family of gamers and I have been playing games online with my cousins since I could remember. They all had the same problem that I did they felt some embarrassment by their love for gaming so I figured there had to be other lowkey gamers like us. The video game industry is growing and the lowkey gamers like us are on the rise. We are starting to become the normal.
